Custom Pad & Clamp for 2500 Series Base Rack - REAR BAR ONLY
Vehicle Specific
Must be used with selected 2500 Series Base Rack
These seem way overpriced and no one will exchange unused sets for a proper set for a different vehicle. I bought a new in box "used" rack system for a different vehicle for 1/3 new price but had to buy vehicle specific clamps and pads to get it to work well enough that I was comfortable with it. You get a perfect fit for your vehicle with the proper set. Don't try to "make" a set for a different vehicle work or you may see your load in the rear view mirror (no, this is not based on experience). The proper pads and clamps match the roof contours perfectly on a '05 Toyota Corolla. They, and the rack system they support, make the '05 Corolla quite capable of hauling kayaks and other misc. stuff. The car becomes useful. The Rhino Rack 2500 setup is rock solid and the square Euro bars do not howl like round bars, but the wind noise is noticeable. Tested up to 65mph. Spiral wrap a 36" bungee cord around the Euro bars to reduce wind noise to some degree, particularly below 45mph around town. Hook the ends of the bungees into the open channels on the bottom of the Euro bars at the ends.Great Product. I moved from Florida to Seattle and needed more cargo space in my tiny Honda Civic Coupe to Drive the 3,000 miles there with all my crap. After weighing several options, I decided to get a Rhino Rack 2500 roof rack and Thule 682 Sidekick and pray I made the 7 day journey. These things never Budged! The entire trip, through rain, storm, high winds (felt the car move a bit though), what have you, these babies locked in place and didn't move an inch. They were easy to install (once you understand how it works, and follow the instructions). Remember, Measure twice, Cut once.I liked that they locked securely as well. Didn't have to worry about someone tampering with them or stealing the stuffed cargo bin with half my belongings. Make sure you get the Roof rack pad and clamp kit!Once we got to Seattle, I removed the Cargo bin and roof rack system, and after a good wash I couldn't tell there was ever a Roof rack attached to the roof. I will say it did look kinda funny driving a small Honda civic coupe with a cargo bin about the same size just cruisin' along. Great trip though, couldn't have done it without this purchase.Fits great. I have a ‘14 RAM Laramie 3500. I use it for my contracting company and hauling kayaks/canoes on adventures and camping. I wish they weren’t so tall, but that’s about it. I needed it to combine with my topper rhino rack so I could carry 16-20ft lumber and pipe.Make sure you follow directions for assembly.Perfect for my vortex rack.I have used the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with Euro Square Crossbars - 46", with the DK211 kit on my 2013 Infiniti G37x sedan. I re-used the crossbars and a new DK233 kit on my 2013 Infiniti M37x sedan. The instructions are clear and make sense. The DK211 kit came with stickers to identify the clamps; however the DK233 kit did not. While installing the DK233 kit, the pads appeared identical to the DK211. But the instructions were different.Overall I really liked the fit and feel of both kits; i've put +500 miles on the DK211 and recently +300 miles on the DK233 kit.Not much to review, it serves its purpose and fits as it should. If you are looking on this product, it only means you need it.I bought a new Rhino Rack for my wife's truck when we used it to pull our camper. Then I bought a bigger truck to pull the 5th wheel we upgraded to. With the Rhino Rack systems interchangeable mounting system I was able to just buy parts a use the rack system. Saved me some money! The system also hold to the truck without any wobble! Great systemI searched for weeks for our upcoming move from Kansas to Utah for a carrier system. I needed a roof rack because my ford flex didn't have one. We we're taking the rather large dog in the car along with four adults for this 1100 mile trip. I found the Rhino Rack system fits my needs perfectly. It took me about 45mins. to completely install the kit. It holds tight and secure. I loaded it down pretty good probably 200 pounds worth of luggage was no problem for it to handle.along with a great cargo net also bought on Amazon I felt safe to travel on all major highways and roads. And the price is about half of what you'll pay elsewhere. Road trip anyone?Great product - although a little fiddly to attach with lots of measuring and trying to get it aligned to the millimetre as per the instructionsRhino is the most popular roof rack in Australia. After pricing out Thule and Yakima I started looking at other brands.Cheaper roof racks were just that....cheap.Rhino was cheaper, but still a quality rack. The complete roof rack with foot pad and fit kit was installed on a Toyota Prius. The pic shows adjustable J-bars for kayaks which was is not Rhino.Note: 4 J-bars were eventually installed and the aero bar positioning was adjusted.Rhino rack flew off car on highway. had been installed for months - obviously something broke. Rhino would not even acknowledge my complaint. Will replace - probably with Thule.Arrived quickly from seller. Came with instructions specific to my vehicle. Fit perfectly on my vehicle and compatible with the existing racks and footings that I already had.Compared to the old Yakima round bar kits I have used before, this is much better in fit and finish. This is why;The rubber foot pads are actually custom moulded to fit at the exact location it was intended to fit. Front and back are actually different. The metal clamps came padded on the inside to protect the paint where it contacts the roof.Very impressed.
